Mas SimSó

Mas SimSó is located in a privileged corner of the Denominació d'Origen Qualificada ("DOQ") Priorat, on the Siurana river valley between Porrera and Cornudella de Montsant.

From the start of the project in 1976, the estate has been planted with the local varieties (Garnacha Negra and Cariñena). Since 2009, White Grenache, Viognier, Malbec and Syrah have been planted and defined the blend as it exists nowadays.

Authenticity

We continue practicing traditional farming, cultivating in slopes, harvesting by hand, fermenting in oak barrels and using 100% autochtonous yeasts.

Complicity with nature

We have limited intervention on the vineyard, respecting the typical inclination and distribution of the vines. We don't use herbicides, so we can fully respect the herbal life that protect the erosion of soil, retains mosture and brings the typical Mediterranean aroma to our wines.
